From Swan Lake to Studded Crotch, It's Everything We Love About Johnny

Johnny performs Swan Lake on Saturday.
Finally, a really good look at this costume!
Photo via the Post-Journal. More pics below!

Kayso we have some pics and vid clips from Johnny’s performances this weekend (Yes! It’s Everything You’ve Seen Already! Now In Convenient Blog Form!), but first we have an important Public Service Announcement from the husbands:

As we discussed previously, Johnny is receiving the National Hero Award this coming Sunday, May 19, from the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund, a nonprofit LGBT organization in Philadelphia (wanna come? There’s still time to buy tickets to the awards ceremony/brunch/after-party here!).

The DVLF had recently announced that at the event, they’ll also be raffling off a chance to win dinner with Johnny and Victor in NYC. But now—as the husbands tweeted—the DVLF has decided to make the raffle tickets available online. So even if you can’t attend the event, you can still have a shot at winning dinner with the Weir-Voronovs! The raffle tickets are just $10 for one ticket, or $20 for three—hurry and get yours, because they're only on sale until 9 am Saturday, May 18!

All proceeds will go to the DVLF, a 501(c)(3) charity. You can read more about their mission and their financial management commitment on the DVLF website.

Also this week: If you happen to be in the NYC area, Johnny is one of the sports legends who will be attending the Viscardi Center’s 47th Annual Celebrity Sports Night on Long Island this Thursday, May 16.

Proceeds from this star-studded fundraiser go toward the Viscardi Center’s programs to assist and empower children and adults living with disabilities. Tickets are a bit pricey, but the evening includes a cocktail reception, during which you can mingle with the celebs and get autographs, plus a silent auction, a full dinner, and a live auction.

In addition to Johnny, the full list of attendees includes sports greats Joe Namath, Joe Theismann, and Tai Babilonia and Randy Gardner, among many others.

OK! On to the pics and vids!

This brief picspam comes to us from Shannon Compton’s Flickr. Bless you, Shannon, for posting these pics almost as quickly as we devoured them.

came by way of his mom, the lovely and glam Lili Voronov.

Johnny's costume is like the "skate-away gay bride - ice queen." Melts the heart versus freezing it. (I've reached that stage in emotional life when I cry at weddings.)

Yes, this costume is over the top (the way Niagara Falls is WAY over the top). But the costume also says to me that Johnny feels beautiful, secure, expressive and happy. So that is beautiful, too, in its own way.

Whatever Ayukovon draws is perfection. She is an international treasure.

Ditto whatever Binky writes and David photographs.
