Johnny, Ave Maria,
Holiday Dreams on Ice,
December 2012.
Exclusive photo © David Ingogly.

One of the greatest gifts Johnny has given me
is to show me that the greatest gift
any of us can give
is ourselves:
fully, completely, unstintingly,
without fear or reservation or regret,
without editing to please other people,
without apology,
and with fiercest passion
for life and love.

It's how he lives his life,
and what he brings to the ice
every time he steps onto it:
The beautiful and amazing gift
that is only his to give,
as the one and only Johnny Weir.

In this season of gift-giving,
my wish for each of you
is that you always remember
what a gift you, too, are to this world.

Follow your heart,
risk everything,
become the person you dream to be,
and always live the life you love.

Be that gift.

And in so doing,
light the way for others.

As Johnny did for me.

Amazing photographs showing off Johnny's incredible artistry and awesome skating costume. His phoenix costume rivals his swan costume.

Johnny shows us how to be in the moment and in the world and in touch with oneself. Your blog does, too. Thank you so much!

As I read this post, I realized how much I have missed out, because I "joined" this fan community only just in early November 2012! Well, at least I'm happy I've "found" him, and now I think I just can't live without him!:)

In addition to my earlier comment (the second one), I must blame the Finnish media for not writing a word about him; how could I have known about him??? Until this one day, when a "weekly appendix" for the biggest newspaper in Finland published an article about him. Here is the link to the article in question: , just in case you were interested. I can even translate some of it for you if necessary. The article didn't appear exactly the same on the in pressed paper, i.e. the pictures were different. So...then I basically "googled" him and fell in love. But maybe I chatter now...
