press conference at Finlandia Trophy.

If you need me, I'll just be here all day...
(after I vote, of course.)

President Obama
Wins Re-Election!!!

Yep, today is the big day in the US, in which we have the privilege of making our voices heard in choosing whether to continue to move our country forward toward equality, justice, and a brighter future for all, including our beloved Happy Husbands—

Or not. (Here. Let Joss Whedon explain it to you.)

I think my political leanings are pretty clear. But no matter what your beliefs, I encourage you: Please, get out and vote. "Of the people, by the people, for the people" only works if the people actually participate.

But if, like me, you're suffering from a tiny touch of campaign fatigue at this point, please feel free to relax here in our Pretty-in-Pink Picspam Oasis from Politics whilst we await the results of the election.

First, though, we have a sneak peek at Johnny's ice time in Russia, thanks to wonderful Arthur Lookyanov (all captions below his photos provided by Arthur):

And yesterday US Figure Skating tweeted the link to the October 2012 issue of Skating Magazine, which includes these Johnny photos:

Group photo from Champs Camp.
Yes, he's wearing the actualfax team shirt.
Please click here for full-size view—
it's pleasingly huuuuuge.

Brief blurb-y thing about his stint
as an Ice Network commentator
at 2011 Nationals. Which he rocked.
Please click twice for readable view.

And now, the final set of exclusive Finlandia picspam from the lovely and generous Elena Vasileva. These were all taken at the press conference after Johnny's free skate, when fans had a chance to come meet him and get an autograph.

Or, as Elena explains, "Johnny came to fans, for few minutes."

Of course he did.

As always, please click any photo twice for larger view.

Love that jacket on him.

Bonus pics!! More from Art Lookyanov:

Absolutely gorgeous.
Also the coat is amazing.

Johnny's column for
the Falls Church News-Press is up!
This entry offers an enjoyable glimpse into serious fandom—
not ours, but rather that of the all-things-Apple aficionado
to whom Johnny is married. The parallels are wonderful,
with a thoughtful point at the end. Love it.
NOTE: Due to the storm, he was unable to submit
this week's column, according to this report.

Johnny's also blogging regularly
about his comeback journey for ESPN!!
His first entry, "A Fresh Start"—personal, honest,
very Johnny—was posted last Friday and is the source
of the quote on the Spirit Day photo above.
Looking forward to reading more from him
as the season progresses!

Please alert absolutely everyone you've ever met
to "like" and follow the new
on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr

With or without ice.
But definitely with Viacheslav.

Yep, I'm still promoting this silly poll
in which you can vote at least once a day.

Early voted Friday and am now feeling butterflies about Colorado, Florida and Ohio, where voting has been very actively discouraged by Republican secretaries of state or Republican voter registration firms. Want to paraphrase what I heard on the Internet: If you have to discourage people from voting to try to win, it means your ideas suck.

Have phonebanked extensively for the local pro-choice and pro-gay marriage Congressional candidate. Weird weather is the new normal, and you don't want devotees of Ayn Rand in charge after yet another "hundred-year" storm.

Meanwhile, thank you for all these great photos and to Johnny for being a role model for his hard work and striving for perfection.

Thank you for that very germane Josh Whedon's video! And thank you and Elena Vasileva for photos of Johnny in that gorgeously textured and vibrantly-colored jacket. Poring over the details of his lewks is part of the pleasure of looking at these photos.

MM, FYI, those towers are the St. Basilica Cathedral in Red Square next to the Kremlin.

Thanks, Julie. The captions under Arthur's photos are the ones he provides, so whatever he says, I run! You can see all his photos and captions on his Facebook page here:
