Weirld Peace!

Johnny skates to LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It"
during the first half of Improv-Ice.
To which we responded by voting like crazy
for him to win "Best Improve-Ice Skater"!
(Crazy in a good way, I mean.
Not the kind of crazy that gets bitch slapped...)

He won!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations, Johnny!!

Yes, of course we have video!!

Here's the Improv-Ice announcement
made during the NBC broadcast of
"Unforgettable Moments of Love." Yay!!
Wendy Stevenz notes that in the thumbnail
chosen for this video,
Johnny looks like a superhero
off to save the world... :D

And despite a tiny bit of sulking and grumbling among some who seem to think it's unfair that Johnny has a LOT of fans who could therefore vote a LOT for him (like this is a surprise? Hello. Welcome to the wielding of our absolute power in our legendary way... ), we're going to happily let botgones be botgones and savor his well-earned victory.

And prepare for world peace, Johnny-style.

Because he's a man of his word:

This totally cracked me up--me and more than
a hundred other people, judging by the
responses and the retweets...

And apparently Captain Safetypants has some mega-support for his mission:

Which brings us to this exciting image from Madonna's half-time performance at the Super Bowl:

Faster than a speeding sit-spin,
more powerful than his terrifying fanbase,
able to leap tall, baseless prejudices in a single bound...
Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane!
It's... Sparkleman!

Yes, it's Sparkleman: Exotic visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and pants far beyond those of mortal skaters. Sparkleman, who can change the course of mighty ignorant thinking, bend gender identities with his bare but beautifully manicured hands, and who, disguised as Johnny Weir, mild-mannered (? LOLWUT ?) competitor for a great metropolitan skating club, fights a never-ending battle for truth, glitter, and the out-of-ugly-make-something-beautiful way.

Sparkleman (aka Captain Safetypants): Bringing you Weirld Peace (and helping you to deal with all things fashionably) since 2012.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 31,

Nominate Johnny Weir for a social media award in the Shorty Awards!

Hey, Johnny's been nominated for a Shorty Award!! You can join in on the nominating process by clicking here and tweeting your vote for Johnny. Most fans are voting for him in the "Athlete" category.

Note: The Shorty Awards have very specific rules, which essentially boil down to this:

(1) You can only nominate him ONCE from each Twitter account that you have. Additional votes from the same account will NOT be counted. So it's one of those deals where we need a LOT of different people to vote, rather than a few people voting a lot.

(2) Your nominating tweet MUST include a reason (for example: "I nominate @JohnnyGWeir for a Shorty Award in #athlete because he inspires his fans to believe in themselves"--thanks @PatinaGlace!).

(3) You must NOT copy someone else's reason in your vote.

All righty then.

The nominating period ends February 17--please vote vote vote!! For more info, click here.

I love all these fabulous pics from the HRC event. So, so much.

Johnny and Victor keep very close physical contact. Love that also.

I also have to see yet a pic in which Victor is not laughing or, at least, smiling. Not that I care for a non-smiling pic. At all.
I hope it keeps that way.
Now I only need a voice I can put to that smiling face. "I´m good" definitely has not been enough. Vitya? Please! ;);)

Ok, I´ll quietely go my merry ways now before I embarass myself even more. LOL.

Carmina said... can't help but smile so big to the point of extreme squinty-eyedness, utilizing muscles in your face that you didn't even know you had!...those are the lovely effects of Johnny + Victor pics...nothing looks better on Johnny than blissful happiness...and both so dapper in their black suits! just keeps gettin' better - to quote Radiohead, "Everything in its Right Place".....

Ahhhhh...the cabal is alive and well and working behind the scenes.

Johnny and Victor look so proud to be with each other and so thankful to have share other's company. Looks like happiness.

Johnny's neck pleats echo those on Anna Wintour's dress. Love that detail.
