Manic Monday: More NYFW Pics, Plus a Special Event!

Johnny at the Erickson Beamon presentation
last Thursday. At last, a really good look
at his entire ensemble! Photo via Fashionista.

OK! So a few more NYFW pics have popped up in far-flung corners of the Internet (seriously, it's like some sort of weird underground fashion-themed Grade-School-Scavenger Hunt-Meets-The-Amazing-Race to find these things, and BTW does NO ONE tag posts with, like, his name anymore?), plus we have some from the lovely Super Agentress herself, who I thought was still in Florida last Thursday with her fabulous new client, champion gymnast Danell Leyva, and thus I was whining that Andrew Werner and NealB were apparently snapping photos at all the wrong shows (meaning those without Johnny in the front row) but never mind because Tara! was! there! and! took! pics!

But before we get to those, we have exciting news from our OK-Basically-He's-Returned-To-His-Life-As-A-Monk-Right-Now-Sans-The-Celibacy-Vows-But-Oh-Look-He's-Making-A-Brief-February-Appearance-Sort-Of-Like-Groundhog-Day-Only-Much-Much-Sparklier Department:

Johnny will be a special guest at Skate for the Goal, a charity event that's happening Saturday, February 25, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers. The event has been organized by students from Ethical Culture Fieldston School of New York as a fundraiser for two charities, Special Olympics-New York and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Johnny will be doing a meet-n-greet as part of the event. Tickets are $10 per person, including the meet-n-greet.

(Wait, let's try that again.)

ARE. ONLY. $10.

And for this price, you get Johnny PLUS Viktor and Nina Petrenko at the meet-n-greet, PLUS Timothy Goebel as emcee, PLUS skating performances by Ice Theatre of New York, Eve Chalom and Jonathon Hunt (he was in the MAC video!), multiple international champions and competitors, and the Skyliners Synchronized Skating Team.

According to Skate for the Goal's Facebook page (please go "like" it now!), the event will begin with a one-hour skating show, followed by the meet-n-greet from 1 to 1:30 pm, and then an exhibition hockey game that will include a halftime Celebrity Puck Shot and a Puck Toss for Prizes.

Tickets are on sale now at the Skate for the Goal table at Sky Rink Chelsea Piers, Pier 61, 23rd St. & the Hudson River, New York, NY 10011, 212-336-6100 (ask for hockey director John Stoble). If not sold out beforehand, tickets also will be available at the table the day of the show beginning at 10 a.m.

If you're traveling to the show from out of the area, you can purchase tickets in advance by emailing

Or, if you're unable to attend but would like to send a donation to help with fundraising, please contact Skate for the Goal via email as well.

I have to agree with Smart Things,
who reblogged the photo and noted
"I just see @JohnnyGWeir and his adorable husband.
I guess the clothes are cool too."

Then it was on to the
with its Roaring '20s theme
that earned the show rave reviews
In keeping with its retro attitude,
have some sepia-toned Johnny.

Bonus pics!! These come to us from the blog of designer/photographer Hanuk Kim, who is quite an interesting man, as I discovered from the New York Observer's fascinating profile of him. His blog is loaded with wonderful photos of people, places, and parties, all uncaptioned. He snapped these two shots Thursday and posted them in this blog entry:

Left to right: Tara, Kylie, Johnny,
Victor, Lili, and... IDK.
Because no captions.
But he's in a lot of Hanuk's photos
and I have this nagging feeling
I should know who he is...

Johnny, Victor, and Lili.

But probably everything I need to know about Hanuk is in this tweet that I noticed Thursday night, which is what drew me to his blog in the first place:

One more from Erickson Beamon.
Plus more photos (with Johnny in them!) at CozyCot.

Very special thanks to
Super Agentress / Managtress / Everythingtress
Tara Modlin for the exclusive photos!

Nominate Johnny Weir for a social media award in the Shorty Awards!

Hey, Johnny's been nominated for a Shorty Award!! You can join in on the nominating process by clicking here and tweeting your vote for Johnny. Most fans are voting for him in the "Athlete" category.

Note: The Shorty Awards have very specific rules, which essentially boil down to this:

(1) You can only nominate him ONCE from each Twitter account that you have. Additional votes from the same account will NOT be counted. So it's one of those deals where we need a LOT of different people to vote, rather than a few people voting a lot.

(2) Your nominating tweet MUST include a reason (for example: "I nominate @JohnnyGWeir for a Shorty Award in #athlete because he inspires his fans to believe in themselves"--thanks @PatinaGlace!).

(3) You must NOT copy someone else's reason in your vote.

All righty then.

The nominating period ends February 17--please vote vote vote!! For more info, click here.
